For a remote property, explain access constraints, occupancy and any existing alternative supply. Confirm travel costs, survey arrangements and aftercare coverage before booking. If the property is permanently off-grid, ask for a winter design based on actual loads, storage reserve and alternative power, rather than a standard grid-connected package. Battery storage and export income

Ask what a proposed battery is intended to achieve and compare usable capacity, charge/discharge power and installed scope separately. A battery does not automatically provide backup during a power cut. Confirm any export tariff and eligibility requirements with the supplier, and separate export income from upfront funding.
