SolarEdge installers

A SolarEdge enquiry may involve a new solar system, an existing inverter fault or a change to monitoring and storage. Tell the company which job you need so its proposal addresses the equipment already at your property.

Check manufacturer information

SolarEdge’s UK finder lets homeowners search by address and filter services. Use it to check manufacturer-listed installers; a mention on a company website alone is not proof of current certification.

Ask about your project

New SolarEdge installation or an upgrade?

For a new installation, ask for the complete panel, optimiser and inverter design rather than an inverter name alone. For an upgrade, provide the existing model numbers and ask the installer to identify every component it intends to retain. Request a written compatibility assessment and a clear explanation of any proposed replacement.

Monitoring access and aftercare

Ask who creates the monitoring account, what information you will see and how access is transferred at handover. If you bought a property with a system already installed, explain that you may not have the original account or paperwork. Ask the company to separate account assistance from paid site diagnosis so the scope is clear.

Repairing a SolarEdge system installed by another company

Send the inverter model, displayed fault, installation age and the point when production changed. Ask whether the company accepts systems installed by others and whether the diagnostic charge includes a written report. Request an explanation of warranty eligibility before agreeing to a replacement; do not assume a product warranty includes labour and access costs.

Prepare an existing-system handover

If you have moved into a home with SolarEdge equipment, gather the inverter label, original installation paperwork and any monitoring information left by the previous owner. Tell the contractor which information is missing. Ask whether the first step is restoring access, investigating missing production data or inspecting the physical system. Those jobs have different scopes, so request a breakdown rather than an unexplained replacement recommendation. Before a visit, agree which checks can be completed remotely and which require access to the property. After work is complete, ask for a record of equipment changes and confirmation that you can access the monitoring account yourself.

Compare a repair with a storage upgrade

A battery proposal can introduce more work than an inverter repair. Ask the company to show the minimum work needed to resolve the fault separately from any optional storage upgrade. For each option, request retained components, new equipment, expected downtime, commissioning and warranty arrangements. If optimisers or rooftop equipment are involved, establish whether roof access is included. Explain any future plans for a battery or vehicle charger, but do not let those plans obscure the immediate repair requirement. Keep the existing system specification with both quotations so you can compare compatibility assumptions.

Before you choose a company

Check the manufacturer finder, then ask the shortlisted company to confirm your exact job and postcode. A company experienced with new SolarEdge installations may not take over all older systems. Agree the diagnostic charge and aftercare contact, and request a written explanation of any manufacturer claim process. Keep product warranty terms separate from labour, travel and access charges.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find a SolarEdge installer near me?

Start with SolarEdge’s UK finder and the company listings below where available. Confirm your postcode, whether the job is installation or repair, and support for your specific equipment.

Can I use a different installer for an existing SolarEdge system?

Ask the new company whether it takes over systems it did not install. Send model numbers, monitoring access information and any warranty or commissioning documents before arranging a visit.

Does a SolarEdge brand mention mean the installer is certified?

No. We distinguish company-stated brand experience from manufacturer certification. Check current status with SolarEdge and confirm the individual job scope.

What should a SolarEdge repair quotation include?

Request diagnostic fees, proposed parts, labour, access, VAT and warranty handling separately. Ask who restores monitoring and confirms performance after the work.
