Helping UK Homeowners & Businesses Go Solar

We help homeowners and businesses find and compare solar installation companies, but we do not carry out installations ourselves. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of an installer’s work. Please confirm services, qualifications and terms directly with the company before appointing it. SolarInstallersUK is an independent directory and is not affiliated with, owned by or operated by any solar installer listed on this website.

Why Go Solar?

Switching to solar energy isn’t just about reducing bills—it’s about taking control of your energy use and making a long-term investment in sustainability. Here’s why more UK homeowners and businesses are making the move:

  • Lower Energy Bills – Generate your own electricity and reduce reliance on the grid.
  • Funding and Export Payments – Check location-specific support and export tariffs separately; eligibility is not automatic.
  • Increase Property Value – Solar installations can add value to your home.
  • Environmental Benefits – Cut your carbon footprint by using clean, renewable energy.
  • Energy Security – Protect against rising energy costs by generating your own power.

Why Use Our Solar Installer Directory?

Finding the right solar installation service can be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve made it easier by listing trusted, certified installers based on region, experience, and the types of solar products they offer. Our directory helps you:

  • Compare local installers in your area.
  • Find MCS-certified professionals who meet government standards.
  • Check funding and export-payment routes against current official conditions.
  • See customer reviews and ratings to choose with confidence.
  • Explore different solar solutions, including solar panels, battery storage, and thermal systems.

Search for Solar Installers by Location

We’ve broken down our directory by region to make your search as simple as possible. Looking for a solar panel installer in London, Manchester, or a small town? Head over to our regional installer listings to find certified professionals near you.

Solar funding and export payments: check your location

Support depends on the scheme, property and current delivery arrangements. These are different types of support, not interchangeable solar grants. Reviewed 23 September 2026; each guide links to the official source.

  • Warm Homes: Local Grant – Council-delivered improvements for eligible homes in England; solar panels may be included after assessment.
  • Nest – Assessed home energy improvements in Wales, potentially including solar panels.
  • ECO4 – A supplier obligation extended to 31 December 2026, with availability dependent on supplier delivery. Not a guaranteed cash grant; battery storage is not eligible.
  • Home Energy Scotland – New solar PV and battery applications are no longer funded under its Grant and Loan scheme. Solar water heating has different loan terms.
  • SEAI solar PV grant – For eligible homes in the Republic of Ireland, not Northern Ireland. Obtain approval before works.
  • Smart Export Guarantee – Payment for eligible exported electricity in Great Britain, not upfront installation funding.

For Northern Ireland, use NI Direct’s current solar-support guidance. A directory badge does not establish eligibility or mean the installer is an appointed scheme contractor.
